- Hotel Monasterio,  a former monastery dating from 1592 where you can have oxygen pumped into your room.

- Miraflores Park Hotel. Great location and luxurious.
- Swissotel. In the San Isidro district and close to the financial centre.

Trujillo

Punta Sal
- Punta Sal Club Hotel. In Tumbes, northern Peru. Great place to relax.

SPAIN
Alarcón
- Parador de Alarcón. A medieval castle. Book one of the unique rooms.
Almagro 
-  Parador de Almagro. Housed in a 16th Century convent.
Ávila 
- Parador of Ávila. Set in a restored 16th Century Palace, adjacent to the Wall and with a very pleasant garden.
Barcelona
- Renaissance Barcelona Hotel . Formerly AC Diplomatic. Very good location.
- Claris Hotel . Also very close to Paseo de Gracia and La Pedrera.
- Hotel Sofia . Further away at the end of Diagonal.
- Hotel Arts . Design conscious - and expensive - just by the sea.
Cuenca
- Parador of Cuenca. Just opposite the "hanging houses". 
- Hotel Cueva del Fraile. Just outside Cuenca.

El Ciego (LA RIOJA) 

- Hotel Marqués de Riscal , designed by Frank Gehry, in the grounds of the Marques de Riscal Winery.
Estepona
- Gran Hotel Elba Estepona. Relaxing hotel on the beach. Very spacious rooms and friendly staff.
Mazagón (Huelva) 
- Parador of Mazagón, above a very nice beach and close to the natural park of Doñana.
Santiago de Compostela
- Parador of Santiago de Compostela. 
Salamanca 
- Parador of Salamanca , a modern building with great views of the skyline of the city and the Cathedrals.
Trujillo (Caceres) 
- Parador of Trujillo, housed in what was originally a 16th Century convent.

UNITED KINGDOM
London
- Intercontinental Park Lane. A five star hotel in a great location. Standard rooms are small. Larger rooms with views of Hyde Park have prices to match. Look for weekend packages.
- Melia White House. A very good option, just by Regents Park and within walking distance of West End attractions and shopping. If you are offered a "paid" upgrade to "The Level" it is worth considering since you get a slightly better room, and buffet breakfast in a separate lounge, where you also have free WiFi, newspapers and free drinks. 
- La Suite West. Anouska Hempel´s latest opening. Standard rooms are small but fully equipped.
